1) The chapter is called "Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik" because in the book they are really tough, mean characters and Byron obviously fits that description and, from what Kenny's heard, Grandma Sands does too. Kenny thought that them meeting would be like Bobo Brazil meeting the Sheik.
2) The chapter title is called "This Dog Won't Hunt No More" because in the book we learn about Toddy, a retired hunting dog. "… that dog won't hunt no more. …lost the desire."
3)This chapter is referring also to Byron in my opinion. It means that Byron is stopping to look to get in trouble and is growing up. In this chapter he is happy just hanging out with the guys instead of looking for trouble.
4) The "Wool Pooh" symbolizes death. He always shows up during times of death (i.e. When Kenny's drowning, and after the bombing).
5) The "Wool Pooh" shows up in the church because there is a lot of death and that is what the "Wool Pooh" is, at least in Kenny's mind. For example the "Wool Pooh" is by the girl whom Kenny rips the shoe off of.
6) Byron changes and becomes a little more of a responsible older brother. He tries to talk Kenny out of going to Collier's Landing and saves him when he nearly drowns. Also he comforted Kenny when he was crying. Earlier in the book Byron would've broke the rules and gone to Collier's Landing or left Kenny crying. This shows me By's changed.
7) Kenny was crying in the bathroom probably because he had seen so many horrible things after the bombing and they were still in his head. Another reason might be that he was upset that he didn't help the little girl that the "Wool Pooh" got. Kenny thinks that Byron would have, and since Kenny looks up to Byron he wants to be like him and not be afraid.
8) Kenny believes that magic shows up in places you don't expect it. For example, magic showed up when Joetta got out of the church. Kenny still believes in the "Wool Pooh" though, because in the book Kenny says "… the Wool Pooh was as serious as a heart attack."

Chapter 11
1. The chapter is called this because the Watsons arrive in Birmingham and they meet Grandma Sands.
Chapter 12
1. The chapter is called this because Mr. Robert's hunting dog is not going to hunt any more.
2. The chapter is also referring to Mr. Robert. It is saying that Mr. Robert is getting too old to hunt.
Chapter 13
1. It symbolizes the whirlpool that is in the lake. It is Kenny's imagination with the square toes.
Chapter 14
The wool pooh shows up in the church from Kenny's imagination. It symbolizes death. I know this because in the whirlpool the wool pooh drowns kids.
Chapter 15
1. Byron changes from the beginning of the book. i know this because in the beginning of the book he wouldn't listen to his parents like when he kept lighting fire and he got the conk. At the end he listened to Grandma Sands and like when he didn't go into the lake that Kenny went into.
2. I think that Kenny was really crying because he was relived that Joey didn't get killed.
3. Kenny's conclusions were that on the wool pooh Byron saved him. About the magic powers he learned that the powers didn't exist.

chapter 11
1. The chapter is called "Bobo Brazil meets the Sheik because from what Kenny hears grandma Sands is strict and Byron is juvinial dilinqwent so Kenny thinks it's going to be like one of those survival of the fitest.
Chapter 12
1. The chapter is called "That dog won't hunt no more' because the dog is to old and weak to hunt racoons.2.The chapter is also called that because his owner is to old and to weak to shoot and chase racoons.
Chapter 14
1. The Wool Pooh shows up in the church because he thinks Joey is being taken by the Wool Pooh. It symbolizes death, Kenny is only ten and he's never seen anything like this so the Wool Pooh is his way of explaining death.
Chapter 15
1. Byron changes from in the beging of the book to the end by first being mean to Kenny and calling him pointdexter to in the ends leting him sit next to him and whacthing cartoons.2. I think Kenny was really crying in the bathroom because he was just to ashamemed of hiself to stop.
3. Kenny's conlusions about the Wool Pooh and Magic powers being real is because Kenny think he knows their real because he has a big imageanation and hes seen it happen.

1. Chapter 11 is called "Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik" because Kenny thinks that it will be like a wrestle match between Byron and Grandma Sands over the summer.Bobo Brazil and the Sheik are wrestlers.
Chapter 12:
1.This chapter is called "That Dog Won't Hunt No More" because in the morning Mr.Roberts had his dog with him. The dog used to hunt with Mr.Roberts, but, as Mr.Roberts explains, the dog is too old to go hunting anymore.
2. In the chapter Mr.Roberts tells how he saved the dog's life. The dog was drowning. In the next chapter, Kenny is drowning. This is almost like foreshadowing.
Chapter 13:
1. Kenny thinks he is seeing the Wool Pooh when he is drowning, but it's really the whirl pool. When Kenny sees Byron punching the Wool Pooh, what he's really seeing is Byron fighting to get through the whirlpool to Kenny.
Chapter 14:
1.The Wool Pooh is in the church because Kenny is in shock, so his mind is playing tricks on him again. It symbolizes death, or people near death because Kenny first saw it in the whirlpool, and he was near death then.
Chapter 15:
1. Byron becomes gradually nicer throughout the book. It starts when he takes the shopping bag from Kenny when they were walking back from the store. Then he does bigger things like give Kenny cookies, and, eventually, save Kenny's life. Then he starts hanging around the couch with Kenny, and he let Kenny play basketball with him and his friends.
2. I think Kenny was really crying
because he was glad that Joey was OK and hadn't been hurt in Birmingham. I think he was also crying because that could've been Joey's shoe that he had pulled off the little kid's foot. He was ashamed that he didn't stay to help the kid.
3. Kenny's conclusion was that Byron was wrong about some things and some of those things were the Wool Pooh and magic powers. Kenny still thinks that there is an angel in their house, and he still thinks that there is a Wool Pooh.

Chapter 11
1.The chapter Bobo brazil meets the sheik is called that because his grandmotheris like king kong and byron was like bambi because he surrenderd his place before throwing a punch
Chapter 12
1.The chapter is called that dog won't hurt no more because it literally means Toddy can't hunt any more because of old age he she said that"they just couldn't pull the trigger
2.They also mean in the chapter that they lost the desire to hunt says Mr. Robert even though you can hear Toddy howle longing to be back in the woods but their tired and they need to know to stop like they did
Chapter 13
1. The wool pooh is symbolized as a whirl Pool to help Joetta chouse the right path because Byron does no want to hurt her but the exact opposite to her safety
Chapter 14
1.I think the wool pooh symbolizes one of many people who were hurt or one of the four girls who were killed. I also think that the wool pooh could symoblizes what the whites were doing.
Chapter 15
1. Byron changes from a bully to a carring person by makeing a place called the World Famous Watson Pet Hospital and for carring about Joey and Kenny alot more and showed it alot more like when kenny was about to die in the whirl pool and By saved him he is finaly showing responsibility

1. It's called that because Kenny thinks Grandma Sands and Byron are going to have some kind of showdown. Bobo Brazil and the Sheik are both wrestlers and are good fighters.
Chapter Twelve
1. The chapter is called That Dog Won't Hunt No More because the dog is really old and can't hunt no more also he won't because one time while he was hunting a coon he went water and the coon tried to drownd him but Mr. Roberts saved him.
2. I think was also reffering to Mr. Roberts and how old he is since it said in the book judging by the look on the dogs he was thinking that Mr. Roberets is old too.
Chapter 13
1.The figure that Kenny calls the wool Pool symbolizes the whirl pool Kenny was stuck in. What happened was Kenny's mind played a little trick on him and made it seem like mthere was a Wool Pooh there.
Chapter 14
1.The Wool pooh shows up at the church because Kenny is only ten and he saw a terrible thing thing I mean he was near something that had just blown up and he saw girls dying and all this worry around I mean everyone was screaming and crying. That was really hard and still he got through it. The Wool Pooh is just his mind playing tricks on him.
Chapter 15
1.Byron in the beginning of the book he really didn't care what happened to Kenny or what he did. But then in the end he really became a responsible brother by saving Kenny and then when Kenny wasn't really well at home he played with him and really helped him fix it.
2. I think he was crying in the bathroom because of the girls dying and the church he saw and how scary that was for him.
3.Kenny's conclusions were that the Wool Pooh was made up and not real and that the magic powers might be real but they weren't behind the couch.

1 I think the chapter is called Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik because in the chapter kenny thinks that byron will get into a fight with grandma sands so he thinks of two wrestelers named Bobo Brazil and the Sheik.

1 I think the chapter is called That dog wont hunt no more because in the chapter grandma sands freind says that him and his dog are to old to hunt.

1 The dark figure that Kenny refures to as the Wool pooh symbolizes a whirl pool, and death.

1 The wooh pooh showed up at the church because it sybolizes death and there was death at the church.

1 The difference from byron at the begining to the end is that at the begining he ignores kenny and at the end he's trying to figure out why he's sad to help him. 2 I think keeny was crying because when he thought he saw joey he left her instead of helping her

1) I think the chapter was called Bobo Brazil meets the Shiek because Byron was the bobo brazil and Grandma Sands is the shiek and they are meeting each other basically for the first time because Byron doesn't really remember the first time he met her because he was four, and now he is thirteen.

CHAPTER 12
1)I think that the chapter was called this dog won't hunt no more because Mr. Robert, Grandma Sands friend, has a dog that chased a racoon right into the water, and the racoon almost drowned the dog, so the dog is basically incapible of hunting, and so is Mr. Robert.

2)I think the title is refering to the Mr. Robert because not only is the dog incapible of hunting but so is Mr. Robert, as in he is too old to case a racoon all over the woods.

CHAPTER 13
1)The dark figure that Kenny calls "the wool pooh" is actually refering to the whirl pool in Collier's Landing. Byron made up a story to keep Kenny and Joetta from going there but it didn't work.

CHAPTER 14
1)The wool pooh shows up in the chuch because Kenny thinks that the wool pooh takes them around before taking the ones who died up to heaven, but it's just Kenny's immagination. It symbolizes Kenny's fear of the whirl pool accident, and that he didn't really get over it yet.

CHAPTER 15
1)Byron really changes through out the book because he cares for Kenny more and before in the the other chapter before they left flint, that he built the grave for the bird that he killed which was very unusual, and he rescued Kenny from the "wool pooh" which is really a whirl pool.
2)I think he was crying because of his lazy eye and appearance and also because he was sad for the 6 girls who got killed in the bomb in the church. Also because he saw the church after the bombing and that was very hard to see for a ten year old. He also thought Joey was killed too.

3)I think Kenny took Byron's words very well. Kenny no longer thinks that the watson's world famous pet hospital would heal him too and he no longer believes in the wool pooh.

Chapter 11

1. This chapter is named this because Kenny mentions that he thinks when Byron and Grandma Sands (the two meanest people of the world in his mind) meet, it will be a battle like if wrestler Bobo Brazil met the Sheik.
Chapter 12

1. This chapter is named this because Mr. Watson asks about Mr. Bobert's old dog, Toddy and he tells him that the dog lost the desire and was too old to hunt anymore.
2. Besides Toddy the chapter title is refering to Mr. Robert because like the dog, Mr. Robert is old and has lost the desire to hunt. In the title, Mr. Robert is the dog and "...Wont hunt no more" is saying he is old.
Chapter 13

1. The "Wool Pooh" sybolizes his version of death or an image he sees when he is met with death.
This is because Byron tells him that the wool pooh is this terrible thing and Kenny thinks of it when he is scared.
Chapter 14

1. The "Wool Pooh" shows up at the church because again Kenny is met with death, in shock, and his mind is playing tricks on him. It symbolizes death and tragedy.
Chapter 15

1. Bryon becomes more mature and responsible at the end of the book. One example is when Byron saves Kenny and he is crying and lost it when he thought Kenny was dead that showed he cared. He acted more responsible with Joetta at Collier's landing by guiding her away from the disobey Grandma Sands.
2. Kenny cried in the bathroom because that kind of let him out of shock from seeing those dead girls. He never really got to think about what happened and never let it out.
3. Kenny concludes that magic powers weren't behind a couch, but they were in happy things and everyday things we take for granted.

Chapter 11:
1. This chapter was called Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik because Kenny thought that Grandma Sands and Byron were going to get into a fight = a grudge match.
Chapter 12:
1. Aside from the dog, the title of this chapter also refers to Mr. Roberts, and how he doesn't hunt with the dog anymore.
Chapter 13:
1. The the Wool Pooh represents terror for Kenny. It stands for something bad that could happen to a kid.
Chapter 14:
The Wool Pooh shows up at the church and symbolizes the destruction of the church. Kenny thinks it killed the girl under the cement. He thought it was Joetta but it wasn't.
Chapter 15:
1.In the beginning of the book, Byron gets into a lot of trouble. He joins a gang; he hates it when people touch him; he gets a certain type of hairstyle that some black people got when they were trying to be like white people. By the end of the book, he has changed; he protects his brother and sister and he ends up being a nice guy.
2. Kenny was crying in the bathroom because he thought the Wool Pooh was going to show up and kill someone else.
3. Kenny realizes that even though there's no such thing as the Wool Pooh, or magic powers behind the couch, there might still be magical powers out there that show themselves when small, good things happen in everyday life.

1. This chapter was called Bobo Brazil meets Shiek because Kenny thought when Byron hugged Grandma Sands they would get in a fight.
2. The chapter is called That Dog Won't Hunt No more because Mr. Roberts dog is too old to hunt just like Mr. Roberts.Mr Roberts would get hundred dollars.
3.The rest of the title chapter is referring to Mr. Roberts because he doesn't hunt anymore and it refers to the south because it’s “That Dog Won’t Hunt No more” is like slang language.
4. The dark thing Kenny calls the Wool Pooh symbolizes his mind playing tricks on him because he’s panicking and can’t get out of the Whirl pool, but can’t. Also it symbolizes how deep and dark it is.
5. The wool Pool shows up at the church because Kenny sees a girl that looks bad and it makes Kenny feel so bad and he can’t take it so he thinks it’s the wool pool. He probably thinks this because the wool pool takes kids under and the girl looked like she was dead. This symbolizes that Kenny was sad and scared seeing the site and was a little too young to see it.
6. Byron changes from the beginning of the book to the end because when he goes to Grandma Sands sees how hot it is and how strict Grandma Sands is so he acts very well. In my opinion I think he mostly changes from seeing the bombed church because he sees dead girls and after that he starts growing more respect and care for his family because part of his family could have died.
7. I think Kenny really was crying in the bathroom because he had seen all those people out there and he felt bad like he should have been there and also his own sister could have died. Also I think he was crying because he thought someone would put a bomb some where he was.
8. Kenny’s conclusions about the wool Pool and magic Powers were that there are them, but they were things actual people do.

Chapter 11: I think that the chapter is called that because Bobo Brazil and Sheik I think are enemies and Byron meets grandma they are like enemies. I am not really sure but that is what i think.
12: The Chapter is called this dog won't hunt no more because the dog used to be the best hunter in town such as Mr. Robert said "He can hunt down bucks", now he can't hunt no more because he was getting too old.
13: I think the dark figure was a whirl pool and Grandma Sands pronounced it wrong.
14: Well I think that whool pool ends up being in the chapter because Kenny thinks that is a real guy that likes to kill people. Kenny saw something and he though it was "him".
15:1. Byron changes because in the beginning he was the mean tough guy and at the end he lets Kenny cry on his lap and he helps Kenny feel better. Byron's personality really progressed throughout the book.
2. I think Kenny was crying in the bathroom because maybe he was starting to figure out what was really happening to blacks back then and he was scared something was going to happen to him.
3. Well Byron had to talk Kenny out of thinking that there was any Whool Pool and magic powers because Byron didn't want Kenny to worry and more.

1. This chapter is called Bobo Brazil meets the Sheik because the Watsons meet Greandma Sands in this chapter. Bobo Brazil is them and Grandma Sands is the Sheik.

Chapter 12

1. This chapter is called This dog won't hunt no more because they talk about how the dog got so old that it couldn't hunt anymore.
2. The title is also refering to the owner of the dog, Mr. Robert. They both get to old to hunt ang they don't feel like doing it anymore.
Chapter 13

1. It symbolizes that Kenny should've never gone out into Collier's Landing, and that Byron was looking out for Kenny.
Chapter 14

1. The wool pooh shows up at the church to let all the little girls at Sunday school see their family one more time.

Chapter 15.

1. Byron changes from the begining of the book to the end by being nicer to people. In the begining of the book he was always mean to Kenny and anyone he met. At the end of the book, he is really nice to Kenny and everyone else.
2. I think Kenny was really crying in the bathroom because he was scared that someone is going to get him because he is black.
3. In the end of the story Kenny thinks that the Wool Pooh is not some made up garbage and that mabey there is magic powers and genies out there.

1. Chapter 11 is called "Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik" because Kenny makes an example about the fight between Grandma Sands and Byron. The example was a bunch of different superheroes fighting little weak cartoon characters.

2. Chapter 12 is called "That dog won't hunt no more" because in Alabama Grandma Sands has a friend that used to hunt with his dog but is too old now and his dog is too.

3.

4. The dark figure that Kenny calls the wool pooh symbolizes a whirl pool because when he was in the lake he got caught in a whirl pool and his eyes started to see things and it looked like it was a person.

5.

6. In the beginning Byron is a troublemaker and always breaks the rules. As the book progresses he starts to change and then when he gets to Alabama he starts being more mature and takes on more responsibility.

7. Kenny was really crying because he was upset that his lazy eye looked weird.

8. Kenny's conclusions about the wool pooh and magic powers are that the magic powers are not real and won't help him with his problems and the wool pooh isn't real as well and he was just seeing things.

1. the chapter is called bobo brazil meets the sheik because byron is very mean and so is grandma sands and he is thinking of two mean people meeting first.

2. the cha[ter is reffering to how the dog "lost his desire"

3. the dark figure called the wool pooh symbolizes what death is.

4. the wool pooh shows up at the church because kenny is seeing all the death so since he is just ten his mind makes it so the wool pooh appears and that symbolizes death to kenny.

5. byron changes from the beggining of the book to the end because he becomes alot nicer to kenny and he is more mature. for example, it says,"im gonna go play some ball, do you wanna come?" this shows that byron has changed because he never would have let him play basketball with him.

6. i think kenny was crying in the bathroom because he wanted to show how really felt about the little girls in the church instead of just sitting behind the couch and trying to make it so the "the genies and angels and magic powers" would make him feel better.

7. kenny eventually thought that the "magic powers" werent behind the couch but they might be in," the way your father smiled at you even after you'd messed something up real bad".

CHAPTER 11:
1) I think this chapter is called "Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik," because in the chapter it said that when Byron actually followed Grandma Sand’s instructions and Kenny was expecting something bad. He said to himself “Instead of King Kong and Godzilla it was like King Kong and Bambi; instead of Bobo Brazil and the Sheik it was like Bobo Brazil and Captain Kangaroo; instead of Dracula and Frankenstein it was like Dracula and a giraffe.”

CHAPTER 12:
1) I think this chapter is called “That Dog Won’t Hunt No More” because besides the fact that he is too old maybe when he got in that huge fight with the raccoon and started chasing after him then almost drowning, maybe he is scared that he will hurt himself again. So maybe that is another reason why he won’t hunt anymore. ( I put both #1 and 2 in the same answer)
CHAPTER 13:
1) The dark figure that Kenny sees “the whool pool” symbolizes the huge whirl pool that was taking him up in the currents and almost drowned him.
CHAPTER 14:
1) I think the whool pool shows up in the church because to Kenny’s mind the whool pool symbolizes death. And so when he sees the whool pool again he gets scared and runs away.
CHAPTER 15:
1) In the beginning of the book Byron was always mean to Kenny and never let him hang out with him and Buphead. Now at the end of the book Byron talks to Kenny and he makes sure that he is ok. For example on page 197 Byron even started sleeping on the couch. They would also watch cartoons together and eat breakfast. Byron even let Kenny drool all over him, and it seemed like he didn’t even care.

chapter 12

Chapter 13
1. I think the dark figure kenny saw repreasented how you imagen fake stuff and how he was so scared and was so close to death that he saw stuff.
chapter 14
The whool actually doesn't show up in the church its gust that the shoe was under a brick and kenny thought joetta was dead.
chapter 15
1. Byron changes from the beggining of the book from the end because he chooses not to go on colliers landing.
2.?
3. Kennys conclusion with the wool pooh and its magical powers is that he sw every one before kenny almost died.
