1 besides not wanting to listen to country music, I think Mr. Watson got the TT-700 to show off to everybody.
2 I think Joetta put the angel in the drawer because the angel was white.

1. Daddy installed the TT-700 because Byron is going to Alabama for the summer and maybe the entire school year.
2.Joetta wants to keep the angel in the drawer because she didn't really like the angel. Mrs. Davidson said it looked like her but it really didn't.
3. Mrs. Watson is careful planning the trip because she wants to make sure she finds a hotel that will let them stay.
Chapter 10
1. Byron calls the white people in the mountains rednecks and crackers.
2. Kenny feels scared driving through the mountains because of Byron's description of what white people might do to them.
1)I think that Mr. Watson wanted to install the TT-700 because in the car there isn't a whole lot to do while you are driving, so I think he put it in to keep him occupied.
2)I think she wants to keep the angel in drawer because she didn't really like the angel she was given because it was white and didn't look like her at all.
3)I think that she is so careful with planning this trip because she deosn't want anything to go wrong or have something happen to them so she has to be careful the way she plans things.

1)He describes them by saying calling them crackers and rednecks and telling Kenny that if they caught you, you'd be hung.
2)Because Byron scared him with the white people in the woods, and it says in the book that Kenny thought that it was really dark and that frightened him.

1. I think he decides to install TT-700 in the Brown Bomber because no one wants to do the trip so he wants people to enjoy it so he installs lots of fun. Also because he is planning to go the whole way without stopping and save money so he spent a little.
2.I think Joetta hides it because it's kind of embarrasing that Mrs. Davidson thinks it looks like her. Joetta is kind of offended by it. She doesn't want anyone to see it.
3. I think she planned the whole trip because once she goes down south anything they do has to be carefull because down south white folks hate black and abuse blacks. So when they want to stay somewhere they have to be carefull where.

1) Byron describes to Kenny white people in the mountains as Crackers and Rednecks and he says they have never seen African Americans before so if they caught you out there they hang you now and eat you later.
2) Kenny feels scared whey they are driving through the mountains because it is really dark out and mostly Kenny and Joetta think that there are monsters out there.

1. I think that Mr.Watson puts the TT-700 in the Brown Bomber because he thought it would impress everybody and make them think that he's the best. Another reason, I think, is just so they can listen to records on the way to Alabama.

1) Mr. Watson installed the TT-700 for a few reasons. One of them being that since it's a long ride, it's good to have a new "toy" to keep everyone busy fooling around with it. Another reason is that usually music "hums" people to sleep, which is good since you don't want four people jabbering and arguing when you're trying to drive.
2) Joetta wants to keep the angel from Mrs. Davidson hidden because it's white and Mrs. D said it looked like her, and Joey I'm guessing is a little embarrassed and maybe even insulted by it.
3) Mrs. Watson is really careful with trip planning such as where they are going to stop because she knows since they are going down south not every Motel would rent a room to a black family. If she didn't plan that way and a hotel wouldn't take them they might end up sleeping in the car one night which really wouldn't be good.
4) Byron describes white people in the mountains by using slang such as, "crackers", "rednecks", and "hillbillies".
5) Kenny feels scared because Byron makes up stories or exaggerates the truth and he did that on the mountain, so Kenny is feeling scared. For example By said that white people up here would hang you and eat you.
